If the purpose of your trip is visiting the main cultural sights in Bukovina, this tour is going to be the right choice for you. Departing from Iasi, after two and half hours you’ll arrive to Voronet Monastery a major attraction in Bukovina Region. It’s a monastery dated five centuries ago which became very popular due its frescoes made of blue pigmentation.
Three quarters of an hour away from Voronet is located Moldovita Monastery another impressive convent in Bukovina. Built later than Voronet, this monastery shows the evolution of the Moldavian architecture style and the scene describing the siege over the Constantinople makes it unique among the others.
Not far is located another hidden gem, The Museum of the Painted Eggs “Lucia Condrea” where the popular art can be seen on thousand of eggs painted by a local lady.
Driving from here towards the next stop, will be an unforgettable experience as the road goes up on the mountains crossing Ciumarna Pass. Reaching Sucevita Monastery, the visit of the “Bukovina’s three pearls” will be completed as this convent it’s also the newest and the last of the painted ones.
Before leaving this lovely landscape a couple of minutes should be dedicated for a visit to The Black Pottery Workshop from Marginea Village where the tradition of making pots still continues today.
From here, a long drive of three hours is ahead for returning in Iasi.
