Who didn’t heard about Stephen the Great? Moldavia’s bravest and longest ruler is still present today in the memories of the Moldavian people by visiting his fortress and churches.
The tour will start with two and half hours drive from Iasi to Suceava, former capital of Moldova until 16th Century. Here you’ll have the chance to walk inside of the Princely Fortress and learn more about Moldova and Stephen the Great.
A quarter of hour north from Suceava is located another Stephen’s remain, The Holly Cross Church of Patrauti, the oldest standing church founded by Stephen the Great in 1487.
From here the road will take you towards the another place covered by the magic of Stephen, more exactly Putna Monastery, the place where the great Moldavian ruler is buried together with many other members of his family.
From here, a long drive of three hours is ahead for returning in Iasi.
